I knew Mrs. Janie when my parents practiced medicine and had a shop in Elberton for about 5 years before we moved back to our native Texas area. She was a very sweet lady and was always kind sending prayers that god may comfort you all in your time of need.

We, the Pine Town Community has loss yet another one of our beloved neighbors and friend Mrs. Janie Lee (McCalla) Smith Bone known to many as Mrs. Janie Smith. Mrs. Smith was a pillar of our neighborhood for many years and with that soft sweet voice she was one of the sweetest ladies. She is the last of the Willow Street elders and her presence will forever be missed. Mrs. Janie was one that would watch over every child in the neighborhood and always had a kind word to say to you. These past few months we have missed seeing her going to and fro, but now we know that she is going to a land where the wicked will cease from troubling and the weary will be at rest.
To the daughters, grandchildren, sisters, brother and the entire McCalla family thank you for allowing all of us to love Mrs. Janie.
So we say to you Goodnight Mrs. Janie Smith take your rest, we all love you in Pine Town and we will see you in the morning!!!!

Lord if I had wings like a morning dove, I'll fly away....
To the family of Mrs. Janie Lee (McCalla) Smith Bone, we the Mattox, Hicks and Watts family was so shocked and sadden to hear about the passing of our neighbor Mrs. Janie Lee. God has spared her to see ninety nine year and almost make one hundred years by just a few days. That's just a blessing!!! We know deep in our hearts that Mrs. Janie Lee was a true child of God and that when that roll is called up yonder she will make it in.
Know that you all are in our prayers and we love each one of you very much!!!!!
