Many fond memories growing up spending summers, holidays, and special times with family and friends at Granny Hunt's House and Porter's' and Sons' Cafe. Those memories are forever etched in my heart.
I'm so glad that I was able to see you and Ant in Easley!

To the children of Pond Dexter Porter it is with deep sympathy and a sadden heart I sit and write my condolences to you all. Hearing about the passing of the last child of Mr. R. C. and Mrs. Jessie Porter my eyes fill with tears. I have so many fond memories from my early childhood on Williams St. as neighbors and always following Bear, Will Ora and Dex to the ball games; my pre-teen and teen years working at Porter's Cafe with Anthony (Brown), Robert (my Dad) and Dex; and my adult years on Martin St. just stopping in to check on him and Anthony. I know that God makes no mistakes and I know that there has been a great reunion in the sky because they have all reunited.
Pond Dexter I must say Goodnight too you!!!! You are all in my prayers.
