Eddie David Allen

Mr. Eddie David Allen, age 83, made his transition surrounded by his family on April 20, 2024, at his residence in Bowman, GA.

Mr. Eddie David Allen was born on May 25, 1940, to the late Mr. Pink Allen and Mrs. Sarah Lee Cade Allen.

Eddie joined Oak Grove Baptist Church at an early age. He moved to Buffalo, NY where he was a truck driver until retirement, and then he moved back to Elberton, GA.

Eddie was preceded in death by his father and mother; son, Ricky Allen; nine siblings, Billy Allen, Curtis Allen, Julia M. Dye, Leroy Allen, Willie Allen, Ruby Riden, Emma Bowman, Cee Allen, Eassy Hamm.

Eddie leaves to cherish his memories: wife Josephine Allen; two sons, Donnie (Angela) Allen, Sacramento, CA, Kenneth (Charlotte) Allen, Sacramento, CA; three stepchildren, Connie (Melvin) Murray, Elberton, GA, Andre (Cassandra) Allen, Lavonia, GA, Terrance Hughes, Elberton, GA; nine grandchildren, eleven step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren; five siblings, James (Jasper) Allen, Elberton, GA, John Henry Allen, Bridgeport, Connecticut, Gertha Lee Glaze, Elberton, GA, Betty Riden, Elberton, GA, Wilson C. (Bettina) Allen, Elberton, GA; six siblings in law, Freeman Moss, Elberton, GA, Jackie (Alfred) Sails, Elberton, GA, John Lee Jackson, Elberton, GA, Shenika (Stanley) Allen, Elberton, GA, Debra Howard, Elberton, GA, Sarah Allen, Elberton, GA.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at 1:00pm, located at Oak Grove Baptist Church. 

Interment will follow the funeral service located at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
