Ruby Mae (Huff) Johnson

Just as the day began Mrs. Ruby Mae (Huff) Johnson, age 75 peacefully answered her call to come home on Saturday March 23, 2024, in Athens, Georgia.

Ms. Ruby Mae (Huff) Johnson was born July 26, 1948, in Wilkes County, Georgia to the late Enoch and Hattie Mae Huff.

She was a member of St. Paul C.M.E. Church in Elberton, Georgia. Before her health declined, she worked at Heardmont Nursing Facility in Elberton, Georgia for seventeen years.

She was well known for cooking, dancing and neatly dressing.

Preceding her in death was her parents, Enoch and Hattie Mae Huff; five brothers, John D. Huff, Walter Huff, James Ed Huff, Willie Huff, Curtis Huff; one sister, Yvonne Huff and a granddaughter Sanquisha Allen.

Surviving relatives include her one and only child, Mrs. Beverly Denise (James) Allen, Elberton, GA; three granddaughters, Janeika Allen, Berkia Allen and Tenealya Allen all of Elberton, GA; three great grandchildren, Alexandria Foote, Ja’Cody Allen and Emerson Turman; three sisters, Alma Jean (Charles) Rucker, Elberton, GA, Doris Addison, Elberton, GA, Jaqueline (Phil) Milner, Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Donald McNeal Huff and Robert Davis, Elberton, GA; one auntie, Theresa Howard; sister-in-laws, Sherdean Huff, Atlanta, GA, Martha Huff, Elberton, GA, Elizabeth Ardister, Elberton, GA; And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 10:00 - 6:00pm. The family will receive friends of the community from 3:00 - 6:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 1:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Interment service will follow the funeral service at Carlton Grove Baptist Church - Elberton, GA.
