Ms. Addie Pearl Rucker, age 76 of Elberton, Georgia entered her eternal rest on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
Addie Pearl Rucker was called home in the early hours of Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
Addie Pearl, the daughter of the late Luther Rucker and Willie Sue Syphore, was born on September 17, 1946 in Ruckersville, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Renea Rucker-Pope and four siblings.
Known for her quick wit and even quicker tongue, Addie P. was not shy about sharing what was on her mind. Family was very important to her. Addie loved to love on her family, especially her grandchildren. She also made a point of visiting with her siblings regularly. If they weren't together, they were on the phone laughing and catching up on the latest events. Addie never missed an opportunity to work in the kitchen with her sisters, catering special events and bringing great joy to all who sampled their food. Not only did she burn in the kitchen with her sisters, she also burned up the softball field with them, playing second base for the team, Carl's Angels. Addie also played coed softball with Seaboard Farms.
At an early age, Addie joined Vance Creek Baptist Church. She was a faithful member, serving as an usher and a member of the Helping Hands Choir. After more than 30 years, Addie retired from Pilgrim's Pride. During her time there, she became a favorite among her coworkers and made lifelong friends.
Addie is survived by her son, Kenny Perlotte; her daughter, Denise Rucker; her grandchildren: Tamiya Pope, Taneea Pope, Tamryn Pope, Jordan Perlotte, Jadon Perlotte, Adelyn Perlotte, Camdyn Perlotte, Ouida (Leon) Davenport, Jayven Hickman, Denim Watts, Mattox Watts, LiKimberly Burton, Kamille Burton, Tobias Burton, Kayla Williams, Evan Williams, Corbin Williams, and Elahni Mattox; her siblings: Sue McIntosh, Ann (John) Plummer, Sara (Clark) Sims, Shirley Clark, Luther (Tommie) Rucker, Nancy Scott, Rubeye (Joe) Marshall, Ernest (Judy) Rucker, Larry Rucker, James (Mary) Syphore, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends. Addie Pearl will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at 2:00pm, located at Vance Creek Baptist Church.
Interment Service will follow the funeral service at Vance Creek Baptist Church.
