Alfred Windell Long, Sr.

I am the resurrection and the life; He that believeth in me though he were dead, yet shall he live. And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. (John 11:25-26) Mr. Alfred Windell Long, Sr. departed this life on September 16, 2024, at the Anmed Medical Center in Anderson, South Carolina at the age of fifty-seven.

Mr. Alfred Windell Long, Sr., 57, of Anderson, SC, passed away Monday, September 16, 2024, at Anmed Medical Center in Anderson, SC.  Born on January 16, 1967, in Hartwell, GA, he was the son of Mack Martin and Linzella Long.  Alfred worked for Jordan’s Carpet Cleaning for over twenty years located in Hartwell, Georgia. He accepted Christ at an early age in the Fellowship at Zion C.M.E. Alfred was an advent car lover and he loved to fish. His sense of humor and love for people will carry generations through his son and siblings. 

He was proceeded in death by his parents Mack Martin & Linzella Long and One Sister: Linda Faye Long.

He leaves to cherish his memory one son; Alfred Long Jr. of The Dalles, Oregon, Brothers: Dennis Martin (Debbie) of Monticello, New York, Gregory Martin (Susan) of Gainesville, Georgia, Frank Long of The Dalles, Oregon. One Sister: June Fouch of Bronx, New York. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

The family will gather for a balloon releasing on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 2:00pm at Zion C.M.E. Church Cemetery in Hartwell, Georgia.
