Mrs. Alma Jean Boggs, age 88 departed from this walk of life to gain her Heavenly reward on Monday, November 4, 2024, at her residence in Decatur, Georgia.
Mrs. Alma Jean Stowers was born on April 5, in 1936 to the late Lorenzo and Freader Mance Stowers. After graduating from Hart County Trade School, she fell in love with Robert Lee Boggs, married and had 4 children. She worked as a factory worker and then transitioned in her career as a caregiver for a nursing home up until retirement. During retirement she dedicated her time to love, raise and care for her 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great- grandchildren up until her departure on November 4th, 2024.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Robert Lee Boggs, her sister Mary Stowers, her brothers Lorenzo Stowers & Edward Stowers, one grandson.
She leaves her cherished memories with her daughters Sarah Boggs of Decatur GA, & Ann Boggs of Royston GA and her sons Robert Boggs of Carnesville GA & Julius Boggs of Decatur GA. Her siblings Tommy Stowers of Hartwell GA, Carrie Crump of Hartwell GA, Jeanette Tylers of Silver Springs MD, Juanita (Sylvester) Brown of Hartwell GA, Freader LaJoyce Parker of Greenwood SC, Ollie Jordan of Anderson SC & Shirley Simpson of Hartwell GA.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11:00am, located at Cedar Spring Baptist Church.
Interment Service will follow the funeral service located at Rose Hill Cemetery - Royston, GA.
