Mr. Anthony Harper, age 58 of Elberton, Georgia, entered his eternal rest on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
Anthony Harper was born on February 28, 1965, to the union of the late Mr. Willie Fred Sr. and Mrs. Gladys Harper in Elberton, Georgia. Anthony was one of 7 children. On Wednesday afternoon, January 31, 2024, he accepted the call to come home for a job well done.
Anthony was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Elberton, Georgia where he joined as a child and remained throughout his life. Anthony Harper graduated from Fulton High School in 1984 in Atlanta, Georgia. He then took after his Father with a love for cars and started working with him at Harper’s Auto Service. Anthony then went on to work for P & G Commercial Cleaning Services as Hospitality Manager and relocated to Anderson, South Carolina. On any given sunny day, you could find Anthony at the lake fishing and telling lies. Anthony loved his family, and nothing would keep him away from them.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father Willie Fred Harper Sr. and Mother Gladys Harper and his only sister Cynthia Gilbert.
Anthony leaves behind his three children Michael Harper (Shawna), Terrell Harper (Katresea), and Shamekia Cosby (Harold) of Atlanta, Georgia. Several grandchildren Sanyiah Reed, Jada Reed, Jeremiah Cosby, Shamari Cosby, Janiyah Harper, Jaicia Anderson, Luckheis Lyles, and Avin Lyles. Five Brothers Willie Harper Jr, Alvin Harper, Godfrey (Pam) Harper, George (Valerie) Harper, and Pondexter Harper and a host of uncles, aunts, and many other beloved family members.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 10:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2024, at 1:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel.
Interment Service will follow the funeral service at Lincoln Heights Cemetery.
