Bernice Jackson

Min. Bernice Jackson was born on May 2, 1951, in Elberton, GA to the late Ernest “Jack” Rucker and Willie Mae Rucker. She went to be with her Lord peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025.

Bernice was married to the love of her life Apostle Thomas L. Jackson. She was a faithful member of Antioch Baptist Church and Oak Grove Baptist Church until left to serve with her husband faithfully at New Hope FGBC, where she accepted her calling as a minister. She was Godly woman, always a warm greeting and a smile on her face. She was a woman of beauty, grace and excellence. She walked with the Lord with integrity, knowing her purpose and place.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents and a special sister Nelcenia Jones.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband Apostle Thomas L. Jackson; her children Katrina (Brandon) Goudelock and Falicia Jackson; grandsons Kobe Goudelock and Chase Goudelock; her siblings Stanley (Jeralene) Rucker, Barney (Rosa) Rucker, John (Waydean) Rucker, Carey (Betty) Rucker, Dennis Rucker, Terrilene (Norris) Harper, Carolyn (Al) Harper, Sylvia Rucker, and Vincent (Anissa) Rucker; a special sister Yvonne Shiflet; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Public Viewing will be held on Saturday, August 09, 2025, from 1:00 - 2:00pm, located at First Baptist Church of Elberton. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 09, 2025, at 2:00pm, located at First Baptist Church of Elberton. 

Interment services will immediately follow located at Oak Grove Baptist Church - Elberton, GA.
