Ms. Betty Jean Brown, 68 of Martin Grove Dr., Elberton, Georgia made her untimely transition suddenly on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at her residence.
Ms. Betty Jean Brown was born March 12, 1956, to Ms. Estelle Brown and Mr. Thomas J. Willis.
Betty realizing the need of a divine Savior this led her to join the Rose Hill Baptist Church at an early age. She was educated in the Elbert County School System and was a member of the Elbert County High School Class of 1975. She was a homemaker and a loving and devoted mother to her children.
Betty was preceded in death by her mother Mrs. Estelle (Brown) Calhoun, her father Mr. Thomas J. (TJ) Willis, sister Mrs. Mary Ann Mayes, brother Mr. Thomas Willis, Jr. and her son Mr. Jonathan Pitts, Jr.
Early morning Thursday, February 27, 2025, the Angel of Mercy ushered her into her eternal rest, where she is now resting in the bosom of Abraham.
Those left to cherish her memories are her beloved two children, Ms. Bernetta Brown and Mr. Nicholas Brown; nine sisters, Mrs. Jimmie Mae (Herman) Johnson, Ms. Bobbie Jackson, Ms. Debra Calhoun, Mrs. Joanne (James) Cade, Ms. Imagene Calhoun, Ms. Kathleen Jones, Mrs. Dorothy (James) Isom, Ms. Sharon Huff, Ms. Helen Jones; seven brothers, Mr. Donald (Hilda) Brown, Mr. James Albert Brown, Mr. Roosevelt Calhoun, Mr. Joe Calhoun, Mr. Robert (Josephine) Willis, Mr. Allen Willis, Mr. Willie Norman; one uncle, Mr. Jimmy Brown; two aunts, Ms. Christine Fortson, Ms. Alice Teasley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral Service for Ms. Brown Funeral Services will be held Saturday, March 15,2025 at 4:00pm at Mack's Funeral Home- Elberton Chapel.
Interment to follow at Downer's Grove Cemetery, Elberton, GA.

The family is receiving friends of the community at the home of her niece at 828 Sherwood Dr., Elberton, Georgia, after 6:00pm every evening.
