Beverly Faye (Thornton) Gaines

Beverly Thornton Gaines, age 67, of Elberton, Georgia entered her eternal rest on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Flat Rock CME Church Family Life Center located at 5595 Cokesbury Highway, Hartwell, Georgia.

Interment will follow in the Flat Rock CME Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Gaines will be placed in the church at 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Sunday.

Social distance and facemasks are required to attend the service. For live streaming of the service, please visit the Mack’s Funeral Home & Cremation Service Facebook group page.    Please note that the seating is limited during the service, the family is inviting the public to join them for the committal where social distancing will be observed and masks will be required.

Public viewing will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at the funeral home from 9am-5pm.  There will be no viewing on Sunday at the church.

Survivors include her spouse, Saul Gaines; children: Cashenna Roebuck, Bernard Roebuck, Latasha Brown, Latoya Gaines, Terrell Gaines, Ricardo Gaines; brothers, Rev. Eddie Thornton, Clarence Thornton, Zoras Thornton, Jr., William Thornton, Scott Thornton; 12 grandchildren; and a host other relatives and friends.
