Beverly White Obituary

Her Story
Mrs. Beverly White was born on February 6, 1943, to the late Willard Amos Jacobs and the late Junior Lucier Jacobs. She was the fifth of seven children born to their union: Joseph (deceased), Gertha Daniel (deceased), Lealand (deceased), Clara Henderson, Mary Scott, and Michael (deceased).

Preparing for Life
Beverly began her educational journey within the Fulton County public school system, where she graduated from East Point Elementary School and South Fulton High School in 1960. After high school, Beverly attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia. It was there that she met the love of her life, Mr. William White Jr. They married in 1965, and from their union, two children were born.

While attending Morris Brown College, Beverly began working for the Harrison Publishing Company in Atlanta. Shortly after graduation, she secured a position with the Dekalb County School System as a classroom teacher. Beverly's passion for education and her commitment to professional growth led her to pursue further studies. She earned a Master of Education from Georgia State University, an Educational Leadership degree in English from Troy State University, and a Technology Specialist Certification from the University of Sarasota.

Beverly was known for her dedication to her students and her innovative teaching methods. She was a beloved teacher who made a lasting impact on everyone she met. Her legacy continues through her children and the countless lives she touched throughout her career.

Putting in the work
Mathew 5:16 “In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Beverly accepted the Lord at an early age as a member of Grant Chapel AME Church in East Point, Georgia. She made time for God and had a personal relationship with Him. Beverly was an active member of Grant Chapel AME Church, where she served as the choir director. When she relocated to Hartwell, Georgia, she became a member of Maple Spring Baptist Church. There, she continued her dedication to the church by actively participating in the choir until her health began to decline.

Beverly's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found great joy and fulfillment in her service to the church and her community. Her commitment to her faith and her love for music were evident in her leadership and participation in the church choirs. Beverly's warm and caring nature made her a beloved member of both congregations, and her legacy of faith and service continues to inspire those who knew her.

Strings That Bind
Beverly loved being a mother; her pride and joy were her children. Her grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She was committed to taking care of her most precious gifts from God, and she did so consistently. Beverly's goal was to help prepare them for successful lives. She encouraged them to develop a personal relationship with God, pray, put family first, respect others, and value the power of education.

Beverly's nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family. She was known for her warm and welcoming nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors. Her home was a place of love and laughter, where everyone felt like family. Beverly's dedication to her loved ones and her community left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Beverly will forever be remembered and cherished by her loving husband of 60 years William, her two children Sean White (LaShawn) and Kimberly Strange (Steven); her grandchildren, Brittany Ransburg (D’Ante), Gabrielle Sanford (Lijah), William Smith, Jordon Smith; three great grandchildren, Karter Ransburg; Carey Sanford and Kross Ransburg; two step grandkids Reagan Strange and Kristy Strange; three step grandkids, Messiah Mears, Gerimiah Holmes and Kahleesi Watson; two sisters Clara Henderson and Mary Scott; One Brother in law James White (Betty); one sister in law, Gwendolyn Handy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
