Billy Joe Tucker

Mr. Billy Joe Tucker, age 70 of Hartwell, entered his eternal rest on Tuesday, January 02, 2024. 

Mr. Billy Joe Tucker was born October 8, 1953 in Hart County, GA, to the late Henry Tucker and Zora Tucker. He entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at St. Mary's Hospital in Athens, GA.

Billy was a member of Zion CME Church in Hartwell, GA. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Zora Tucker; grandson: Jordan Tucker; brothers: James Tucker and William Tucker; brother-in-law: John Altman; niece: Tonya Tucker and nephew: Brad Brewer. 

Survivors include three sons: Nathan Rucker of Athens, GA; Darius Goss of Stone Mountain, GA; and Tyricus (Latoya) Tucker “aka Rocky” of Elberton, GA. Four sisters: Zora Mae Altman of Selma, NC; Gladys (Benjamin) Brewer, Barbara Tucker and Thelma Starks, all of Hartwell, GA; one sister-in-law: Rosa Tucker. Three brothers: Eugene (Joyce) Tucker, Elma (Julia) Tucker, Charles (Debra) Tucker all of Hartwell, GA; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at 2:00pm, located at Zion C.M.E. Church. 

Interment will follow the funeral service at Zion C.M.E. Church.
