On Saturday, November 2, 2024, the Lord in his great wisdom dispatched an angel quietly to carry home the soul of Mr. Charlie V. (CV) Turman, age 85, escorting him out of this life at University Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Athens, Georgia to his new heavenly home not made by hands.
C. V. Turman was born on April 7, 1939, in Wilkes County, Georgia to Thomas and Annie Mae (Clark) Turman. C.V. was the patriarch of his family always giving out family history, life lessons and wisdom. Always a hardworking man he worked in the Granite Industry until retirement.
He was an avid hunter, skilled gardener, fisherman and mechanic.
Preceding him in death was his parents, Thomas and Annie Mae Turman; grandparents, James and Carrie Turman, Alfred and Nora Clark; wife, Luevenia Turman; sister, Carrie T. Winston; grandchildren, Demetri Willis, Roosevelt Agurs, Jr., Kayla Glaze; great grandchildren Moriah Cleveland and Madelyn Hayes.
He leaves cherished memories to his children, Sherroy Huff, Stacy (Ida) Turman, Sr., Patricia Whitaker, Tommy Turman, Sr., Charles Turman, Pricilla Agurs, Chris (Annie) Turman and Elder Steve (Tonya) Turman; siblings, Johnny Turman, Mary W. (John) Sumpter, James (Ivie) Turman; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great greatgrandchildren.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 2:00pm, located at Thankful Baptist Church - Tignall, GA.
Interment service will follow the funeral service at Thankful Baptist Church Cemetery - Tignall, GA.
