Mr. Charlie "Dicky" Joe Craft, age 76 of Hartwell, Georgia entered his eternal rest on Thursday, September 21, 2023.
Mr. Charlie “Dicky ” Joe Craft was born February 25, 1947, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Craft Sr. He entered eternal rest on September 21, 2023.
Charlie attended Hart County Training School. To have known Charlie was to know a jokester, full of love, and straight to the point person. A man who was always willing to give a helping hand and help others. He never met a stranger and was one of the coolest people that you could ever meet. Charlie loved to go fishing and watch his good ol’ Western shows. He enjoyed being in the presence of his children and grandchildren. Charlie had many jobs over the years; he retired from Springs Industrial Inc. doing his passion as an industrial worker.
Charlie is preceded in death by his parents Charlie Sr. and Margie N. Craft - Hartwell, GA, his two sisters Alma-Jean Davis - Bridgeport, CT, Barbara Rucker - Hartwell, GA, and one brother Marshall Craft-Hartwell, GA.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three children: Renee (Anthony) Oglesby - Canon, GA, Denise (Carl) Dalton-Hartwell, GA, and Barry (Windy) Craft - Hartwell, GA. Two Brothers: Carnell (Vickie) Craft - Bridgeport, CT and Joel Long - Hartwell, GA. Three grandsons: Isaac (Briana) Dalton - Braselton, GA, Barricus Craft and Re’Markeon Rucker - of Hartwell, GA. Two granddaughters: La’Rasha (Richard) Rucker - Richmond Hill, GA and Carnise Dalton - Hartwell, GA. He had 10 loving great-grandchildren to add to the list; many step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends that he loved and cared for deeply. Charlie had many neighbors throughout his time of living on Leard St., but one neighbor that he loved and cherished was Sue Thomasson.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 12:00 - 6:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 2:00PM, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel.
Interment will follow the funeral service at Zion C.M.E. Church Cemetery.
