Clyde Edward Land

It is with heartfelt reverence that we announce the passing of Minister Clyde Edward Land, 83, of Atlanta, Georgia formerly of Elberton, Georgia who passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025.

Minister Land was born on May 1, 1942, in Elbert County, Georgia to the late Mr. K. C. Land and the late Mrs. Omia Juanita (Dubose) Hector. A proud member of the graduating class of 1961 from Blackwell Memorial High School in Elberton, Georgia.

 A man of unwavering faith, style, and strength, Minister Land was a beloved and faithful servant of God. His life was rooted in kindness, wisdom, and service that he received from his dear mother—whether singing songs of Zion or simply offering words that soothed the soul. Though he has transitioned, his light continues to shine in every heart he has touched. 

Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of F. L. Sims Funeral Home, 1115 Clay Road SW, Mableton, Georgia 30126. 

Interment will be held on Monday, September 22, 2025, at Georgia National Cemetery.
