Cynthia Williams

Ms. Cynthia Williams, age 69, of Lavonia, Georgia entered her eternal rest on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. 

Her journey begin on November 8, 1953. Her journey ended October 24, 2023 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens, GA.

Cynthia was born to the late Clarence Williams and Jimmie Lou Swilling Williams. Cynthia was one of seven children. She attended Stephens County High School and worked at the Whitman Head Start in 1969. Later she took a job at Stone Manufacturing, where she worked her way up to a Supervising position and spent 15 years there. Lastly, she was hired at the Lavonia Pre-K where she retired. She loved all of her jobs and took great pride in all of her work.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Jimmie Lou Williams, her brothers Curtis and Terry Williams, her sisters Patricia Johnson and Brenda Smith.

She leaves to cherish precious memories her son Pecos (Quonza) Williams, two grandchildren, Pacus DaReyon and Na’Reeyah Allyce Williams, sister Shirley Dooley of Toccoa Ga, brother Willie (Rozetta) Williams, of Decatur Ga, and sister-in-law Sheila Williams of Lavonia Ga. She also leaves to cherish her memories, her nephews Norris Johnson and Marques Williams, both of the home. Five other children dear to her heart outside of the home, Van, Kim and Jesse Brown Jr., and also Shae and Triston Knox, along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2023, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at 2:00pm, located at New Light Baptist Church - Lavonia, GA.
