Dallas Fortson

Dallas Fortson, age 86 of Elberton, Georgia entered his eternal rest Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

Dallas Norman Fortson was born in Elberton, Georgia on June 10, 1936, to Mr. Ben Fortson and Mrs. Sally Lou Fortson. Mr. Dallas was raised in Elberton, Georgia. He served in the Army, worked in granite for over 30 years. He was a school bus driver for 7 years. He was the only black motorcycle driver for wards pharmacy in the 1950’s. Dallas was the last of 8 children.

Dallas was blessed with a loving family and leaves them to cherish his memories. Two Daughters: Perlie Carter (George) and Alice Fortson (Keith). Significant Other: Willie Mae Fortson. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at 2:00pm located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel.
