Dennis Allen

Dennis Allen, age 59 of Elberton, Georgia entered his eternal rest Sunday November 27, 2022.

Dennis was born on June 7, 1963, in Elberton, GA to the late Mr. Edward and Crola Rucker. After graduating from Elbert County Comprehensive High School in 1981, Dennis joined the U.S. Army where he served 3 years. After serving in the United States Army, Dennis explored various careers such as: truck driving, and manufacturing. He later discovered his passion for photography and pursued a career in it for over twenty years. Dennis spent the latter portion of his career assisting the community by lending a helping hand to the local Recreation Department and driving for the city of Elberton transit. 

Dennis was well known for his vibrant smile, singing abilities and his love for God. Because of his love for singing, he ministered in song with the gospel group, “One-Fold” for several years. On April 6, 1996, Dennis married the love of his life, Mrs. Kawanna Allen. To this union the Lord blessed Dennis and Kawanna with five children.  

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents: Edward and Crola Rucker. Two Brothers: James Calvin Allen and Will Edward Rucker. One Sister: Doris McIntosh. Father-In-Law: Lem Ardister Jr.

He is survived by his lovely wife of 26 years, Mrs. Kawanna Allen. Five children: Nashekia (Trent) Rucker of Greenville, SC. Frenchesco Ardister of Athens, GA. Precious Allen, Josh Allen and Nadja Allen all of Elberton, GA. Four Grandchildren: Kayin Ardister, Kaliyah Ardister, Cameryn Ardister all of Elberton, GA.  Tyas Rucker of Greenville, SC. Two Brothers: Bobby Lee Allen of Seattle, WA. Thomas (Wanda) Allen of Elberton, GA. Five Sisters: Alma Lois Morrison of Athens, GA, Eva Dawson of Athens, GA, Jennifer (Tony) Downer of Elberton, GA, Jackye Allen of Elberton, GA, Overa Brown of Connecticut. Mother-In-Law: Elizabeth Ardister. Sisters-In-Law: Nancy (Stephen) Rucker, Mary Allen. Brothers-In-Law: Stanley Ardister, Carlos Ardister, Patrick Huff all of Elberton, GA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 12:00 -5:00pm located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 2:00pm located in chapel of Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel.
