Dorothy "Brenda" C. Hill Harrison

Mrs. Dorothy "Brenda" C. Hill Harrison,  age 74 of Toccoa, Georgia entered her eternal rest on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.

Dorothy Carol Hill Harrison “Brenda” was born on September 5, 1948, to the late H.T. and Laddie Mae Hill. She was the baby of 11 siblings. On August 22, 2023, she departed this earthly realm at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia.

She worked for Wright’s Manufacturer for over 10 years. After working at Wright’s, she became a Nanny for over 16 years to the late Mr. & Mrs. Luke & Brenda Terrell. This family became like family to Brenda. In her later years she began to work for ResCare as a personal care aide for 7 years until her health caused her to retire. She had a love for people and did not mind showing love and treating everyone like they were her own.

She loved music and singing, but most of all she was a God-fearing woman who served many roles in her home church. Brenda dedicated her life to Christ and lived the best way she could to show and please the Lord at DeerCourt C.M.E. and later became a mother of the church at Faith Temple International Ministries.

On October 19, 1968, she married the love of her life the late Joe L. Harrison Sr. The two had 7 children and their family continued to grow.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband, both parents, 8 siblings, 1 daughter, 1 granddaughter and 1 grandson.

Left to cherish her memories are children: Clinton Harrison of Cleveland, Tennessee; Yvette Harrison of Clarksville, Tennesse; Joe Harrison Jr. of the home, Toccoa, GA; Gennifer Gaines & Felycia Simpkins of Walhalla, SC; Undrayus LaBoon of Lavonia, GA; Kandrea Mattox of Jefferson, GA. Two Son-In-Laws: Jason Gaines of Elberton, GA & Antron Simpkins of Aiken, SC. A Special Niece: Beverly Wilkins. One Brother:
Gilbert Hill of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. One Sister: Mary Jane Fortson of Toccoa, GA. One Brother-In-Law of the home Floyd Smith, Toccoa, GA. 34 Grandchildren, 32 Great Grandchildren. Special Daughters: Janisha Heard and Jeannie Satawhite. Special Sons: Keenan Harrison, CJ Heard and Jonathan Pickens. Two Special Friends: Joevelyn Blackwell and Coileen Fruster. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel.
