Elder Leonard Richard Oglesby

Elder Leonard Richard Oglesby, age 81 of Hartwell, Georgia entered his eternal rest on Monday, June 12, 2023. 

Elder Leonard Richard Oglesby Sr. was born on February 22, 1942, in the Reed Creek Community located in Hartwell, Georgia.

Elder Oglesby was retired from M.P.C. Manufacturing Company located in New Jersey. He began his ministry in 2003 after completing theology seminary school. Elder Oglesby loved nature including Gardening and planting.

Elder oglesby enjoyed his family and reared the grandchildren that lived in the home with him.

Preceding him in death is his loving wife Mrs. Beverly J. Oglesby. Parents: R.D. Oglesby & Eula M. Oglesby. Brothers: Robert Oglesby. Howard J. Oglesby. Sisters: Luvenia Banks, Pauline Jones.

Left to cherish his legacy and memories are his Five children: Valery R. Oglesby, Leonard R. Oglesby Jr. (Denise), Kirk Rogers (Darnita), Karl Rogers, Leonard R. Oglesby III (Antonia). Grandchildren: Sixteen. Great-Grandchildren: Fourteen. Brothers: Rev. R.C.Oglesby (Reatha), Walter Oglesby, Charles G. Oglesby. Sisters: Evangelist Colleen Fruster, Mildred Oglesby, Vernelle Oglesby and Dorothy Lois Oglesby, Margaret Oglesby.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at 2:00pm, located at Calvary Baptist Church - Hartwell, Georgia. 

Interment Service will follow the funeral service at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
