Mrs. Evonna Rae Hersley Edwards, age 80 of Elberton, Georgia formerly of California City, California entered her eternal rest on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Evonna was born on July 2, 1943, and battling Alzheimer’s for 10 years, she has been finally set free.

Preceding her in death are her parents: Walter & Betty Hersley. Husband: Len Edwards. One brother: Harlan Hersley and a loving dog Midgie.

Evonna is survived by her four beautiful daughters: Debbie (Rocky) Greene, Sheri (David) Hicks, Sandy (Carlos) Canas, Diane Edwards. Three Grandchildren: Elise Hicks, Andrew (Shelby) Canas, Corey (Danielle) Sheridan. Four Great-Grandchildren: Wyatt & Wade Canas, Jeremy & Bella Sheridan and Jaden Hayes. Two Sisters: LaDonna New & Marty Rusnak.

Evonna enjoyed being on her trike and riding trikes with her husband Len and friends who became family, including Mike Mestas and Sally Mestas Kendall. She was not just a great mom; she was also a great grandma and GiGi. Her additional hobbies were camping, watching/reading true crime stories, and doing crossword puzzles.
