Mrs. Fannie Mae (Reed) Brown, age 84 departed from this walk of life to gain her Heavenly reward on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at her home in Hartwell, Georgia.
Ms. Fannie Reed Brown was born on April 1, 1940 to the late Doyle Reed Sr. and the late Emma Jane Huff Reed Thornton. Mother Fannie passed peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at her home located in Hartwell, Georgia.
Fannie was the sister to Dorothy Jordan and Doyle Reed Jr. both precedes her in death along with her sons Mark Keith Brown and Samuel Jerome Brown.
Fannie attended New Hope Franklin Baptist Church for many years and served on several boards during her membership at the church. She retired from Milliken Newton Plant of Hartwell, Georgia. Fannie was a very loving and caring lady. She loved and nurtured her entire family. To know her was to truly love her.
She leaves to cherish memories three daughters: Bridget Brown Sturghill of the home, Yvonne Brown Teasley of Hartwell (Johnny Heard of Anderson, SC) and Patrice Brown Smith (Tyrone) of Easley, SC. Sisters: Annette Clark and Sadie Stewart of Brooklyn, NY. A host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 1:00pm, located at New Hope Franklin Church - Lavonia, Georgia.
Interment will follow the funeral service at New Light Baptist Church Cemetery - Lavonia, Georgia.
