Fannie Mae (Jones) Reid

Fannie Mae Jones Reid age 95, of Elberton, Georgia, entered her eternal rest on Saturday, December 10, 2022.

Mrs. Fannie Mae Reid was born on August 30, 1927, to the late Mr. Earnest Jones and Mrs. Lelia Winkfield Jones in Elbert County, GA. She lived a life filled with happiness and love for her family and friends.

Mrs. Fannie Reid was united in holy matrimony for over 40 years to Mr. Boast Reid Sr., who preceded her in death in 2001. To this union nine children were born. Mrs. Reid worked in various compacities in the poultry industry and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant until her retirement.

Mrs. Reid became a member of Hall Grove Baptist Church where she joined at an early age. She was a faithful and dedicated member until her health began to decline. Mrs. Reid served on the Mothers Board at Hall Grove Baptist Church and was the oldest member of the church.

Preceding her in death are her husband: Boast Reid, Sr. Parents: Earnest Jones & Lelia Jones. Four Children: Robert Reid, Helen Reid, Rev. Joe Jones & Boast Reid Jr.

Mrs. Reid leaves to carry on her legacy. Four Children: William Reid, Dan Reid, Leon Reid & Mae Reid. Five Daughters-In-Law: Ethel Reid, Tammy Reid, Adrian Reid, Angela Jones & Marilyn Reid. One Godson: Bobby Langston (Evelyn). Twenty-six grandchildren, forty-six great grandchildren, ten great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022, from 12:00 - 5:00pm located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 2:00pm located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Interment will be held at Hall Grove Baptist Church Cemetery - Bowman, GA.
