Gordon "Tick" O'Neal Bufford

Mr. Gordon "Tick" O'Neal Bufford, age 50 of Elberton, Georgia entered his eternal rest on Sunday, October 08, 2023.

Gordon O’Neal “Tick” Bufford was born July 6, 1973, at the Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton, GA to the union of Early and Elizabeth (Ardister) Bufford.
He was the youngest of five siblings. He didn’t have any biological children but he have one nephew and two nieces whom he loved as his own. Tick found his way into fixing all types of machinery from cars, trucks, tractors, etc. He then went to making honey, he became known as “the honey man” for a long time. He buzzed around with the bees for a while and flew in to doing fall festivals. He really was a self-made man that also enjoyed fishing and of course “coon” hunting with his buddies/friends. Tick enjoyed his simple life in the country of Fortsonia along with all his endeavors.

He is preceded in death by his father Early “Jabo” Bufford, Jr., his mother Elizabeth (Ardister) Bufford, his sister Jennifer Bufford and brother-in-law Bobby Jones. 

He leaves behind his two sisters, Betty Ann Jones, Elberton, GA, Fredia (Shelby) Harris, Elberton, GA; his brother, Virgil “Bo” (Betty) Bufford, Stockbridge, GA; one nephew, Jermaine Jones, Salem, SC; two nieces, Camelle Bufford, Elberton, GA, Ashley Bufford, Stockbridge, GA; four aunts, Carrie Lue Cofer, Atlanta, GA, Caldeen Willis, Atlanta, GA, Peggy Chancey, Rex, GA, Sylvia Lue Ardister, Elberton, GA; great aunt, Elizabeth Bufford, Tignall, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023, at 4:00pm, located at Fortsonia Baptist Church - Elberton, GA.
