Jakarri Timiere Blackwell

Mr. Jakarri Timiere Blackwell, age 22 of Lawrenceville, Georgia entered his eternal rest on Thursday, August 31, 2023.

Mr. Jakarri Timiere Blackwell “Jay” was born on March 31st, 2001, and transitioned on August 31st, 2023. Jay loved spending time with his family, playing his video game, going fishing and watching football. He was a huge fan of the Georgia Bulldogs and would spend every game day cheering them on. When it was pretty weather, he would call his mom to ask if she wanted to go fishing with him. Jay loved his family so much and would do anything to spend time with them. You would often find him cooking on the grill for family functions or just competing with his parents. He often joked about his cooking skills being the best of the family. He would create a sauce for any dish to accompany the meal and would do a good job at it. Jay would spend many hours playing his video game and bonding with friends in different states. Jay was a jokester at heart, and he always made those around him laugh through life.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Mr. F.G. Grimes and Mrs. Ophelia Grimes, Mr. George Frank Morrison, and Mr. Dewitt Blackwell. One great uncle, Mr. Jeffrey Brown and his best friend Chandler Smith-Millions.

He leaves to cherish all his special memories to his parents Latisha and Jeremiah Garrison, Jonah Blackwell, his brothers Ladavius, Aarian and Jonah Jr., his sisters Kimorah, Alora, Starr, Zoey, Nyasia, and Tamyah. His grandparents Gloria and Allen Colbert, Tim and Peggy Morrison, Sara Grimes and Leroy Blackwell. His great grandmothers Martha Morrison, Mattie Blackwell and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jay met the love of his life in middle school and spent his last 8 years sharing many memories with Ms. Jasmine Crawford. He built an unbreakable bond with her family that blended us into one loving family. Her mother Tammy Crawford treated him as a son, her sister Brianna and brother Tyger welcomed him with open arms. He loved their nephew Kairi like he was his own son and his fur baby Drax had completely stolen his heart.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 09, 2023, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 3:00pm, located at Christian Worship Assembly Church - Hartwell, GA.
