Janet (McNair) Clark

Mrs. Janet (McNair) Clark, age 83 went to sleep in death on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the St. Mary's Health Care System in Athens, Georgia.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Janet McNair Clark on December 17, 2024. Janet was born on March 22, 1941, in Baltimore, Maryland to John Wilson and Mary Elizabeth McNair.

Janet was known for her strong will, unwavering faith in Jehovah God and her determination to serve him to the best of her ability. She loved studying the Bible with others and had many wonderful years doing that with her dear friends.

Janet worked as the assistant director for the Athens Welcome Center for Clarke County Georgia for several years. She had a keen interest in the history of Athens and was a tour guide for the city. Upon retirement, she enjoyed her country drives to visit her friends and their beloved dogs that she loved as her own.

She is survived by three nephews, Stewart McNair, Will McNair, and Sandy McNair. 

She was preceded in death by her father John Wilson McNair, Sr., mother, Mary Elizabeth McNair and brother, John Wilson McNair, Jr. 

Memorial service will be announced at a later date.
