Jannie Eva "Geneva" (Hawes) Partlow

Ms. Jannie Eva “Geneva” (Hawes) Partlow was born September 4, 1957, and entered into eternal life on February 1, 2026.

She was born to the late Charlie Hawes and I. D. Cade Hawes Rice. She was the sixth of nine children.

She was employed at The Hartwell Garment and Springs Towel Plant until they closed. She received her CNA Certification and began working in the Health Care field. Geneva was a graduate of Elbert County High School with the class of 1975.

She was a member of New Tate’s Grove Baptist Church, she served on the Usher Board and was a servant in other programs in the church.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Erica Antonia Partlow Harris; one grandson Gavin Weldon Harris; sisters Doris Cade, Buford, GA, Shirley (Bobby) Williams, Decatur, GA, Gwendolyn (Phil) Harrington, Lithonia, GA; brothers Joe (Barbara) Tate, Lithonia, GA, Norris (Carol) Tate, Covington, GA, and Dennis (Barbara) Hawes, Marietta, GA; preceding her in death was Alberta Butts, and James Hawes, Sr.; she was survived by many nieces, relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 1:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday. February 7, 2026, at 11:00am, located at New Tates Grove Baptist Church - Elberton, GA

Interment will follow the funeral service located at New Tates Grove Baptist Church - Elberton, GA.
