Jeffrey Wayne Brooks

Jeffery Wayne Brooks, age 44, of Statham Georgia entered his eternal rest Friday, April 1, 2022.

Wayne attended Oconee County School System.

At an early age, he worked for Thaxton’s Turkey Farm. He worked other jobs where he learned to Weld, plumbing, electrical work and many other skills before working in his lifelong dream of Law Enforcement. Wayne started his Law Enforcement career at Madison County Sheriff’s Office as a Jailer and worked at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, as a Jailer until his health declined.

Wayne was a gentle and caring person. His daughter Brynlee was the love and light of his life. Wayne was also a devoted and caring son and brother. He was a loyal friend and would help anyway he could when someone had a need.

Wayne is proceeded in death by his grandparents Carl & Velma Brooks, Clifford & Lutitia Huff; Great grandparents Clarence & Margaret Lovern, Marvin & Pauline Huff and Aunt Donna Cotner.

Wayne's wishes were to be cremated and at this time, there are no formal services planned. The family is grateful for all of your thoughts, prayers and well wishes during their time of bereavement.

Survivors include his daughter Brynlee Brooks, his parents Phillip J. & Deborah Brooks, his brother Michael (Tina) Brooks and a host of other relatives, and friends.
