Jerry E. Allen

Mr. Jerry E. Allen, age 58 of Elberton, Georgia entered his eternal rest on Monday, April 24, 2023.

Mr. Jerry Eugene Allen was born on July 19, 1964, to the late James Allen Sr. and Annie Mary Allen. He attended ECCHS where He graduated in the class of 1983. He spent many years as a head cook at the Huddle House and manager.

Jerry enjoyed working at the fair every year since he graduated. He loved doing outside work around the house, and he worked on cars. He was called Jack because he was a Jack of all trades; until his health began to decline.

Preceding him in death are his parents James Allen Sr. and Annie Mary Allen. Brothers: Carl Allen and Anthony Allen. Sister: Rachel White.

He leaves to cherish his memories: One son: Shedrick Allen. Granddaughter: Angel Browner. Sisters: Barbara Thomas (Urbana, Ill), Margaret Brawner (Elberton, GA.), Elaine Mattox (Charles) Atlanta, GA. Kristie Allen Banks (Curtis) Elberton, GA. Barbara Walton (Elberton, GA). Brothers: Rev. James Allen Jr. (Keisha) – Hull, GA. Rex Allen (Geri) Conyers, GA. Charles Allen (Maria) San Antonio, TX. James Knot Allen (Sophia) Sanford, FL. A special caregiver Ronnie Lee Smith Jr. A close friend Demetrius Pete Moore. A host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 12:00-5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 1, 2023, at 2:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Interment will follow the funeral service at Lincoln Heights Cemetery - Elberton, GA.
