Mr. Jesse James Rucker Jr. "Ruck", age 49 of Elberton, Georgia entered his eternal rest on Friday, May 05, 2023.

Mr. Jesse James Rucker Jr. “Ruck” was born April 10, 1974, to the late Jesse James Rucker Sr. and Mildred Virginia Maxwell Rucker. He entered into eternal rest on May 5, 2023, at St. Mary’s Hospital of Athen’s, Georgia.

Jesse attended Elbert County Comprehensive High School where he graduated with the Class of 1993. There he was an awesome athlete in every sport that he played. To have known Ruck was to know a sweet, full of love, compassionate, straight to the point person. A man who was always willing to give a helping hand and helping others. “Real is Rare”. Ruck was a person with a beautiful smile that would light up a room and make all your problems fade away. Jesse had a golden heart and never met a stranger and was one of the coolest people that you could every meet. Jesse had many jobs over the years, but his passion was to own his own business one day. His dream came true. He later became an entrepreneur and for 30 years he has been the Owner of Southern Styles Fashion. He leaves telling us that he loves us and will see us all later.

Jesse is preceded in death by his parents Jesse James Rucker Sr. and Mildred Virginia Rucker Maxwell and his sister Jessica Grenette Rucker.

He leaves to cherish is memories, His wife Stephanie Cooper Rucker-Carlton, Ga, seven children: Jesqueena Rucker-Atlanta, GA, Brittany Lynch-Athens, GA, Jayvianna Rucker & Javonni Rucker-Athens, GA, Shuntia Jones & Takias Cooper-Carlton, GA, and Sebastian Britton-Atlanta, GA Three sisters; Minister Renick (Robert) Robinson, Carrie Ann (Brandon) Ardister, and Lisa Rucker-all of Elberton GA. Five Brothers; Jermaine Rucker, Stephen (Nancy) Rucker, Tresvon Rucker, Clinton Rucker, and Quintin McIntosh- all of Elberton, Ga. Sister in Laws; Latisha (George) Stone-Stone Mountain GA, and April (Binkeve)Walton-Helen, AL, Tammie Wise-Comer, GA. Brother in law; Rico (Katrina) Stevens- Athens, GA, Jeffery (Bonnie) Howard-Comer, GA, Two grandsons Amari and Alijah Jordan. Two granddaughters; Erin Moore, and Wynter Fortson. Great aunt; Betty (Charlie) Jones-Elberton, Ga, Aunt; Corene (Marvin) Clark-Walterboro, SC, Uncle; Joe (Louise) Rucker-Lansing, KS. He had many family and friends, other aunts, uncles, and cousins that he loved and cared for deeply.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at 2:00pm located at Love In Action Christian Outreach Center. 

Interment will follow the funeral at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
