Joseph Clark

Mr. Joseph Clark, age 76 of Hartwell, Georgia entered his eternal rest on Tuesday, March 07, 2023.  

Joseph Clark was born January 26, 1947, in Hartwell, Georgia to the late Ralph B. Clark and Laura Lee Gaines Clark. “Joe” as he was so affectionately called, departed his life on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at his home.

Joe graduated from Hart County Training School in 1968. At an early age, he joined Maple Spring Baptist Church. He was employed at Monroe/Tenneco for over 40 years before retiring in 2012. He was the oldest of seven children. He spent his life making a difference in others with wisdom, joy, and loved to put a smile on the face of anyone he met. He enjoyed talking on the phone with his family and watching his favorite Western shows with his fur companion Bitsy.

Joe was preceded in death by his father and mother, and Al, his canine friend.

He leaves to cherish his memories to his special companion of 30 years, Ms. Willie Glenn: his children: Tracey Clark of Spartanburg, SC: Kathleen (Stergen) Newman of Elberton, GA: Joseph Clark and Katina(Adrian) Roebuck of Hartwell, GA. Siblings: Billy(Gloria) Clark, Lillie(Richard) Ravenell, and Jeannette Orsley all of Hartwell, GA. Annette(John)Gibbs and Rudolph(Linda) Clark of Elberton, GA and Bonnie(Dale) Norman of Savannah GA. 10 Grandchildren: Je’shun Barnes, Wykeia Clark, Avery Newman, Jordyn Newman, Madisyn Newman, Joseph Clark, Jr., Shuntel Campbell, Glory Clark, O’Brian Evans and a host of nieces, nephews, stepchildren, step grandchildren, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at 1:00pm, located at Maple Springs Baptist Church. 

Interment will follow the funeral service at Maple Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
