Mrs. Josephine (Veasley) Benard, age 91 departed from this walk of life to gain her Heavenly reward on Saturday, August 10, 2024, in Lavonia, Georgia.

Josephine (Veasley) Benard was born April 25, 1933, in Waverly, Alabama. She was married to Percy Benard, Sr., preceded her in death. She moved to Elberton, GA in 1971.

She was a member of Westside Presbyterian Church in Elberton, GA.

She leaves to cherish her memories: five children, Carl Martin, Rickey Kelly, Zelda Benard, Cedric Benard and Noah Benard, both preceded her in death; stepson Percy Benard, Jr. preceded her in death; two grandchildren she raised in her home, Orlando Benard and Chasity Benard; fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grands and a host of relatives and friends.

Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 16, 2024, at 11:00am, located at Lincoln Heights Cemetery - Elberton, GA.
