Kelvin Taron Jones was a bubbly 8-pound baby boy, born on March 8, 1970, to George and Nelcenia Jones, with his big sister Shelma watching over him. He grew up in a loving home and had a wonderful childhood, excelling in both baseball and basketball. Kelvin’s athletic talents earned him a basketball scholarship to Benedict College, where he graduated with a dual degree in Marketing and Public Relations.
Kelvin leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Tonya Montgomery-Jones of McDonough, GA; his children, Chaise Gabrielle Jones; Kelvin Taron Jones; Kasen Michael Jones; and Kannon “Boogie” James Jones all of Locust Grove, GA; sister Shelma Jones of Elberton, GA; mother-in-law, Corine Montgomery Williams of Hopkins, SC; sister-in-law, Anastasia Montgomery of Hopkins, SC; brothers-in-law, Carlos Montgomery of Hopkins, SC; and Willis Williams of Columbia, SC; aunts, uncles, nephews, line brothers and other lifelong friends and members of his beloved Omega Psi Phi, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Public Viewing will be held on Monday, August 4, 2025, from 5:00 - 7:00pm, located at Watkins Funeral Home McDonough Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at 12:00pm, located at Shiloh Baptist Church - McDonough, GA.
Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 12:00pm, located at Greenlawn Memorial Park - Columbia, SC.
Repass reception will take place immediately following Graveside service on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, located at St. John Holistic Wellness Center - 230 J W Neal Circle Hopkins, SC 29061.
