On Sunday morning February 2, 2025, the Lord in his great wisdom dispatched an angel to AnMed Medical Center in Anderson, South Carolina to quietly escort Mr. Kelvin Eugene Mitchell, 63, from this life to relocate to his new heavenly home.
Mr. Kelvin Eugene Mitchell, son of the late Thomas Mitchell and Sue Mitchell. He was born on February 8, 1961, and departed this earth on February 2, 2025, to relocate to his heavenly home. He graduated from Hart County High School in 1979 and afterwards he enlisted in the National Guard where he served for numerous years. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Mitchell, daughter Moneca Mitchell, his grandson Correndrick Alexander, his sister, Doretha Mitchell, and brother John Mitchell. He leaves to cherish his precious memories with his fiance’ Francine Grove of Hartwell, Ga., his mama, Sue Mitchell, children, Teanda Ramsay, Temika Rucker, Latoya Huff and Seketha Mitchell. His siblings: Mary Jones of Lithonia, Ga, Elaine Mitchell of Athens, Ga., Thomas (Karen) Mitchell of St. Louis, Carolyn (Clifford) Curry, Neal (Stephanie) Mitchell and Venita Craft all of Hartwell, Ga. Raised as brothers are Terry Mitchell and Randy Mitchell. 12 Grandkids, 19 Great Grandkids and eighteen nieces and nephews and 2 honorary (Tristan and Trustan Highsmith). Kelvin will be truly missed by all that knew him.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel.
