Krege Donyell Burton

We regretfully announce the untimely passing of Mr. Krege Donyell Burton, who passed away July 24, 2024, at the age of 47.

Mr. Krege Donyell Burton was born September 22, 1976 to Percy Thompson and the late Linda Susan (James) Burton Brown in Elberton, GA. Kreges' sudden transition on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital has left our hearts in sorrow.

Krege attended Elbert County Comprehensive High School and graduated with the class of 1996. After graduation Krege worked in the granite industry for many years until his health declined.

Krege was a fun, funny, outspoken, but and loving and caring person. He loved to tell a joke and would help anybody that he came in contact with. Krege was a devoted father who dedicated his life to his kids.

Krege was preceded in death by his parents Linda and James Brown; his sister Michelle Burton.

Krege leaves to cherish his wonderful memories his son, Andrew Burton; daughter, Kenzlee Burton; special daughter, Haley Bledsoe; father Percy Thompson, Sr.; two brothers James (Leslie) Brown, Percy Thompson, Jr.; five aunts, Winnie (John) Willis, Alice Brown, Christine Fortson, Sonja Simpson, Beatrice Brown, Dorothy (Joe) Hood; six uncles, Cad Gene Burton, Robert Burton, Jr., Frank Burton, Jimmy Brown, Stanley Bradley, Douglas Bradley; a special friend, Brittney Smith; a favorite little cousin Kasey Burton; god mother, Cynthia (Harper) Kelley; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Public Viewing will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2024, at 2:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Interment Services will follow the funeral service at Downers Grove Cemetery - Elberton, GA. 

We ask that you keep the Burton and Brown family in your thoughts and prayers.
