Mr. Lera Tate, age 84, of Stone Mountain, Georgia formerly of Elberton, Georgia made his transition on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Mr. Tate was the son of the late Mr. Glen Tate, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mattie Lee (Rambert) Tate, he was born on January 31, 1941, in the rural community of Flatwoods in Elbert County, Georgia. 

Public Viewing and Visitation will be held at the mortuary Wednesday, 12:00 NOON until 7:30 P.M.

Home Going Services for Mr. Tate will be held Thursday, September 25, 2025, 1:00 P.M. at The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1879 Glenwood Avenue, Atlanta, GA., with the Reverend Dr. William E. Flippin, Sr., Senior Pastor, Eulogist.

Mr. Tate's remains will be placed in repose at 12:00 NOON. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church Thursday, at 12:30 P.M.
