Mr. Mack Author Edmond, age 63 departed from this walk of life to gain his Heavenly reward on September 9, 2024 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, Georgia.

Mr. Mack Author Edmond, son of the late Mr. Cartrall Freeman and the late Mrs. Queen Elizabeth (Edmond) Coleman was born on March 26, 1961.

He attended Elbert County High School and graduated in 1979. He was a member of the chorus and the quartet. He joined Cade's Chapel Baptist Church at an early age, and later joined the True Friendship Church of Elberton, GA. He enjoyed cooking and was employed as a cook for many years. His employment as a cook consisted of the Nancy Hart Nursing Home, the Huddle House and the Ingle's Deli. After an extended illness, Mack departed his life on Monday, September 9, 2024 at the Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital , Athens, GA.

Mack leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Shakoa L. Edmond, Elberton, GA, and Sharron (Lamar) Davis, Concord, NC; five sisters, Gaydell Edmond, Elberton, GA, Christine Green, Elberton, GA, Yvonne (Avery Phillip) Shifflette, Athens, GA, Melissa P. Partlow, Tignall, GA, and Dana A. Thomas, Dalton, GA; four brothers, Thomas J. Edmond, Milledgeville, GA, David (Annie) Edmond, Elberton, GA, Anthony O. Edmond, Anderson, SC and David P. Freeman, Atlanta, GA; step mother, Mrs. Yvonne Freeman, Tignall, GA; two grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service for Mr. Edmond will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 2:00pm at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel.
