Marilyn Vergia Triplett, age 84, completed her earthly journey on April 20, 2026, peacefully at home in Dewy Rose, surrounded by the love, presence, and comforting words of her family.
Marilyn was born on August 15, 1941, to Thomas and Roxie Masters. One of eleven children, she grew up understanding the importance of family, resilience, and love—values she carried throughout her life and passed on to those around her.
She was married to the love of her life, Arnold “Bud” Triplett, Sr., for 50 devoted years before his passing. Together, they built a life rooted in commitment, faith, and family.
Marilyn embraced many roles throughout her life—wife, mother, and “Mamaw”—each one filled with warmth, strength, and unwavering love. Her greatest joy was found in her family, and she leaves behind a legacy of deep connection and cherished memories.
A woman of deep and abiding faith, Marilyn served the Lord in many capacities throughout her life, living out her faith before friends, family, and her community. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Education and faithfully taught at a Christian private school during her sons’ formative years, leaving a lasting impact on the lives she touched.
Left to honor and carry forward her memory are her two sons and their families: Arnold “Arne” Triplett Jr. and his wife Heather, along with their children Walker, Jake, and Ava; and Alex Triplett and his wife Christina, along with their children Peyton, Paisley, and Colt. She is also lovingly remembered by her granddaughter McKenzie Lee and her husband Tyler, their children Paysleigh and Greyson, and McKenzie’s mother, Stacy Lamar. She is survived by her twin sister, Magalen Edwards; younger sister, Joyce Hall; and older brother, Thois Masters.
Marilyn’s life was a testament to quiet strength, enduring love, and the importance of family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 1:00pm, located at Dewy Rose Baptist Church - Dewy Rose, GA. The family will be receiving guests at their homes.
The Triplett family kindly requests that you keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this time of bereavement.
