Mary Nell Oliver

Mrs. Mary Nell Oliver, age 67 of Selma, AL formerly of Lavonia, GA, entered her eternal rest on Tuesday, November 21, 2023.

Mrs. Mary Nell Oliver was born to the late Leroy Graham and Ruby Nell Smith, on March 26, 1956. She is a graduate of Franklin County High School located in Carnesville, GA., and was employed by Milliken Corporation, at two of their factories and later employed by Kmart, in Toccoa, GA.

Mary then married Mr. Stanley Haynes Oliver, Royston, GA., and to this union were born three daughters, Chandra Oliver, Selma, Alabama; Sabrina Oliver, Greenville, South Carolina; and Ariel Oliver, also of Selma, Alabama.  Mary joined the New Light Baptist Church at an early age and served there until later moving away with her husband.

Mary departed this life on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at Vaughn Regional Hospital in Selma, Alabama, at 06:49pm. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy Graham, and Ruby Nell Smith, and two sisters, Annie Ruth Smith and Ruby Mae  and three brothers, Joe Henry Smith, Mark Smith, and Matthew Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley Oliver, and daughters, Chandra Oliver (Terril); Sabrina Oliver (David) and Ariel Oliver. Three brothers; one brother-in-law and two sister-in-laws. Sylvester (Juantia) Brown, Hartwell, GA; Ronnie Graham and Paul Graham of Lavonia, GA; James Oliver, Los Angeles, CA; Minnie Oliver, Stone Mountain, GA; and Lolita Oliver, Gaithersburg, MD and four grandchildren, Samaria Holman, Diana Oliver, and David and Dorian Garcia Gomez. And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends,

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 2:00pm, located at New Light Baptist Church. 

Interment will follow the funeral service at New Light Baptist Church.
