Mary J. Sims

Ms. Mary J. Sims, age 67 of Elberton, Georgia entered her eternal rest on Wednesday January 10, 2024.

Ms. Mary Jean Sims was born on December 31, 1956, to the late Zebdee Allen and Mary Agnes White in Elberton, GA. She was called to be with the Lord on January 10, 2024.

Ms. Sims was a member of Lofton Grove Baptist Church. She worked in the Poultry industry for many years. During her spare time she enjoyed
cooking, playing card games and spending time with her family and friends. Mary was a loving person to everyone she came in contact with.

She will be greatly missed.

To carry on her legacy she is survived by her three children Trita (Marshall) Williams, Bennie (Tamara) Fortson, Jeremiah (Courtney) Fortson all of Elberton, GA; twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; she also has five sisters and five brothers Helen (Yoland) Jones, Athens, GA, Joseph White, Elberton, GA, Torry Starks, Jonesboro, GA, Joe Starks, Athens, GA, Timothy White, Jonesboro, GA, Bernard Allen, Mary Allen, Lavern Allen, Beverly Allen, Sandra Allen (deceased) all of Chicago, IL; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 2:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel.
