Ms. Mary F. Stowers, age 84 of Washington, D.C. formerly of Hartwell, Georgia entered her eternal rest on Tuesday, September 05, 2023.
Ms. Mary Frances Stowers was born on September 23, 1938, to the late Lorenzo and Freader Mance Stowers. She departed her life on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023, at a private home in Hyattsville, Maryland. She joined the Cedar Springs Baptist Church at an early age. She loved her church and church family.
After graduation from Hart County Training school she moved to Washington, D.C. and worked for the government and later retired from the District of Columbia government in the Fleet Management Department; where she worked for 32 years and retired in 2009.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Lorenzo Jr. and Edward Stowers.
She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Eric McClendon of Washington, D.C. One grandson of Washington, D.C. Seven Sisters: Jeanette Tyler of Silver Springs, MD. Alma Jean Boggs of Atlanta, GA. Carrie Crump of Hartwell, Georgia. Ollie Jordan of Anderson, S.C. Shirley Simpson of Hartwell, GA. Juanita (Sylvester) Brown of Hartwell, GA. Freader LaJoyce Parker of Greenwood, S.C. Tommy (Vickie) Stowers of Hartwell, GA.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 1:00 - 4:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, at 4:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Hartwell Chapel.
Interment will follow the funeral service at Cedar Spring Baptist Church.
