Mr. Melford "Mello" Franklin Hill Jr., age 32 of Atlanta, Georgia formally of Wilmington, North Carolina entered his eternal rest on Friday, June 30, 2023.
Sunrise: Melford “Mello” Franklin Hill Jr. was born to the union of Adina Keels and his father in the Cayman Islands. He was the fifth of six children.
Journey: After moving with his Mother and a few of his siblings to Wilmington, North Carolina, Mello proved to be a bright student and enjoyed staying active in sports. He attended New Hanover High School in Wilmington, North Carolina and later graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Economics from North Carolina A&T SU in Greensboro, NC. He relocated with his family to New York for some time then settled in Atlanta, GA where he loved to live and made a home for himself. He was blessed with a host of friends gained from his journey through life and stayed in close contact with his family which he loved dearly. He would do anything for the people he loved and was the most giving person you could ever know. Mello ran into a few unexpected hardships with his health and he
leaned on his relationships to help him through, which brought his family and friends closer than ever before. His love for his Mother was unconditional and he always acknowledged how he wouldn’t have made it through his toughest times without her. Mello was a loyal friend beyond reproach and a blessing to all who knew him.
His most talked about accomplishments were his independence and his achievements in his education and career. His favorite pastime was relaxing while playing his longtime video game characters or going out and enjoying social time with friends. Laughter was his medicine and he shared it with all who knew him.
Sunset: Mello was called home on June 29, 2023 at his home in Atlanta, GA.
