Mother Eva Estelle "Goodie" McLendon

With grace she gave; with love she led; and with joy she lived.

Mother Eva Estelle “Goodie” McLendon was born on October 10, 1932, to Silas Bufford and Hattie L. McLendon-Cade. Her earthly journey ended November 25, 2025.

Eva was a faithful member and the mother of Youth Crusade Evangelistic Center of Greenwood, SC. Eva was a caretaker for many years; she enjoyed cooking a feast for her family and her passion was fishing where she would sit on the bank with many of her friends for hours fishing and enjoying the conversations.

Preceding her in death is her mother Hattie L. McLendon; father Silas Bufford; daughter Patricia Browner; sons Donald McLendon and Timothy L. McLendon, Sr.; and brother Napolean Cade, Jr.

Eva was survived by her only living daughter Barbara McLendon; three adored sons Willie McLendon, John Tolver, Reginald (Carolyn) McLendon; her beloved daughter in law Angela McLendon all of Elberton, Georgia; four sisters Annette Niles, Jennifer Henry, Betty Ann Watts all of Metro Atlanta, Georgia; and Norma Cawthon of Hopkinsville, Kentucky; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and relatives. Eva also leaves a host godchildren who she loved dearly, and they treated her as their own mother in both Georgia and South Carolina.

Public Viewing for Ms. McLendon will be held Friday, November 28, 2025, from 4:00pm - 7:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Funeral service for Ms. McLendon will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 2:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel.

Interment will be in Lincoln Heights Cemetery, Elberton, GA.
