Mother Sarah Louvonia (Tucker) Richardson age 89 of Bowman, Georgia made her transition from her Earthly house on Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton, Georgia to her Heavenly home not made by man's hand.
Mrs. Sarah Louvonia (Tucker) Richardson was born June 11, 1935 to the late John Wesley Tucker and the late Ida Vera (Burch) Tucker in Abbeville, SC. She entered her eternal rest on Friday, July 12, 2024 at the Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton, GA.
To some she was Lou and to others Sis. Realizing and knowing the need to know Christ as her personal savior she joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age and she served on the Mother’s Board for many years. During her early years of life she migrated to Chicago, IL where she found work Chicago Transit Authority. She was employed there for many years until her retirement. In later years, Lou and her only child Lynn moved from Chicago, IL and returned to Bowman, GA where she lived her life as a loving and caring mother, granny, great granny, great great granny, sister, aunt and friend to all.
Lou was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Luther Henry, LD and John Tucker; her sisters, Mary Eberhardt, Bobbie Holloway, Ethel Wilkerson and Margaret Heard.
She leaves behind to cherish her wonderful memories; her beloved daughter and best friend Lynn Goss of the home; brother, Lawrence Tucker; grandchildren, Marquis (Shannon) Goss, Brandon Goss; great-grandchildren, Ny’Kearia Goss, A’Maya Goss, Mar’Kianna Goss, Marquis Goss, Jr., Zhe’Lyha Goss, Ashton Goss, Naomi Goss, Justice Wilkins and D. J. Hill; one great great grandson who she loved dearly, her baby boy Acetyn Goss; a host of nieces, nephews and relatives.
The family are receiving friends of the community at the Richardson residence located at 2568 Clark Rd. Bowman, Georgia 30624.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at 2:00pm, located at Mt. Zion Baptist Church - Bowman, GA.
Interment services will follow the funeral service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church - Bowman, GA.
