Richard Blackwell

At the close of the April 28, 2026, the soul of Mr. Richard Blackwell was peacefully carried into his eternal rest at the West Village Post Acute in Greenville, SC. 

Richard Blackwell, 76 passed away on April 28, 2026. He was born in Elberton, GA to the late Lula Mae Blackwell and Joseph Beasley. He spent many years working in the Granite Industry but formerly worked for Eaves Packing Co. Richard was known for his ability to walk everywhere he went and never owned a car. His favorite food was Kentucky Fried Chicken and Pepsi Colas. He loved watching TV and listening to the radio.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sister, Lillie Bolden, Anderson, SC, nieces, Shelly Hunter, Raegan Hunter, and Toni Grimes, Anderson, SC. Nephews, Troy (Marla) Jones, Thailand, Melvin Jones, Anderson, SC and Jermaine Blackwell, Hartwell, GA. Along with a host of other family members and friends.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Lula Mae Blackwell, father, Joseph Beasley, sister, Corrie Mae Blackwell, nephew/brother, Leroy Blackwell and brother-in-law, Ronnie Bolden.

No formal services will be held; We ask that you keep the Blackwell family in your thoughts and prayers during this time of sadness.
