Robert Lee Davis Wilburn

Mr. Robert Lee Davis Wilburn, age 71 was born on May 19,1952 to the late William Arthur Wilburn and Ollie Mae Wall in Hart County, Georgia. He departed this life on April 30, 2024, peacefully at home.

Robert was born in Hart County, Georgia, but grew up in Elberton, Georgia where he attended school. Robert was a 1971 graduate of Elbert County High School. Robert worked in the Rock Quarry there in Elberton until he moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1979. Robert worked at the Circuit City Distribution Center for eleven years. Robert went on to work with Fulton County School system. There he worked in various areas and schools. Robert retired from Love T. Nolan as a nutritionist.

Robert was baptized at the Moreland Ave. Church of Christ and later worshiped and served as a deacon at the West End Church of Christ where he was a faithful member until his health started to decline.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents William Arthur Wilburn and Ollie Mae Wall, two brothers, Henry Thomas Wilburn, Marvin Wilburn and one sister Laura Virginia Hunt.
Robert married Vivian Ross on December 24, 1979. Robert has three daughters Loretta Dye (Marvin) of Athens GA, Yavette Apeku (Theophilus) of Ellenwood, GA and Briana Wilburn of McDonough, GA. They all loved him so much. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his brothers, Johnson Wilburn ( Tommie Lou) of Dewey Rose, GA. Wallace Wilburn ( Sandra) of Anderson SC, sisters Brenda Troutman ( Lonnie) of Vienna GA, and Patricia Wilburn of Elberton GA; sisters- in- law Vondella Wooten of Southern Pines, NC, Sherry Edwards of Ellenwood GA. Netta Davis (Larry) of Robbins, NC,
Cynthia Ross of Aberdeen, NC, and Sandra Mc Lean(Milton) of Sanford NC; brothers -in law, John Ross( Stephanie), of Fairfield, CA and Eddie Ross of Siler City, NC. Four grandchildren Markeia Rucker (Taj Letman) Jalen Lawson (Corderius), Trejan Dye, Taylor Wilburn and two great grandchildren Ari and Amir Letman, and a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.

A Memorial Service Celebrating his life was held on Monday, May 6, 2024 at Renaissance Church of Christ 3675 Butner Rd. Atlanta, GA.
