On Sunday March 3, 2024, the Lord in his great wisdom dispatched an angel quietly to peacefully escort Sammie Lee Clark, 62 of Elberton, GA, out of this earthly life to relocate to his new heavenly home.
Mr. Sammie Lee Clark, age 62 of Elberton, GA passed away on March 3, 2024, at his home.
Sam was born on April 6, 1961 to the late Darlene (Bradford) Clark and Jimmie Cureton. He started working on the dairy farm at the age of 12. He was employed by Majestic Granite until his health began to decline. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and washing his truck.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his grandparents Nick and Dora Bradford; siblings Bessie Gibbs, Jeppie Clark and John Clark. Sam leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Debbie Clark; six children, Tiffany Goolsby, Shawn Crew, Sammie Lee Barnes, Celeste Beamon, Brittany Barnes and Malik Heard; two grandchildren, Jaylin Morrison and Quintin Sherod; two god grandchildren, Joyia Daniels and Jalani Durden; three sisters Elizabeth Tate, Peggy Cureton and Yolanda (Roger) Murrill; three brothers Donald Clark, Johnny (Loretta) Cureton and Thomas (Peggy) Cureton; sister in law, Denise (Brian) Allen; two brother in laws, Perry (Angelia) Beamon and James Gibbs; aunts Hattie Bradford, Addie Ree (Adam) Heard, Lenora DuBose and Rochelle Rucker; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 2:00pm, located at Oak Grove Baptist Church - Elberton, GA.
Interment Services will follow the funeral service at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
