Mrs. Santa Williams, age 71, of Colbert, Georgia went to sleep in death on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital in Athens, Georgia.
Santa (Sandy) Angela Scala passed away after a sudden illness on November 7, 2025.
She is survived by her husband Timothy Williams, her mother Josephine Scala, her sister Lucy Scala and her brother Felix Scala, her three children – Natalie Ching, Megan Williams, and Titus Williams, and more than 20 nieces and nephews and other extended family. Sandy was born on October 3, 1954, in Buenos Aires, Argentina to Orazio and Josephine Scala. Her parents emigrated to the United States in the late 1950’s and Sandy grew up in Brooklyn, New York with her parents and her two siblings, Lucy and Felix.
In April 1973, Sandy and Tim were married and spent more than 52 years together. The majority of that time they lived in Georgia – between Hartwell and Athens. While she was a faithful partner to Tim, Sandy was an incredibly special woman in her own right. She was a devoted daughter and a supportive, protective sister. She was an exceptionally loving and caring mother to her children. And she generously shared her love with her many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
We pray that our God will help to heal “the heart of those being crushed” (Isa 57:15) and help us live our lives in a way that will honor her legacy.
We ask that you keep the Williams Family in your thoughts and prayers.
You may express your condolences, sign the online register, send flowers, or light a memory candle in her honor to provide comfort to the family.
