Shanetra "Bird" Latrice (Brawner) Faust

Shanetra Latrice Brawner Faust age 44, of Elberton, Georgia, entered her eternal rest on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

Death cannot harm a Christian, for it is a joyful messenger of peace where kind words and hands open to the weary. Crusader of the gates of eternal life and the faithful go free, yet we are weak, and we mourn because of the transition that took our loved one, Mrs. Shanetra Latrice Faust.

Shanetra Latrice Brawner Faust, better known as Bird, was born July 31, 1978, in Elberton, Georgia to Troy and Debra Brawner Glaze. She is preceded in death by her only brother Cutlass O’Neal Brawner and her grandfather’s O’Neal Waller and Roger Brawner.

Shanetra grew up in Elberton, where she graduated from Elbert County Comprehensive High School, Class of 1997. She attended the Police Academy and worked for Phelps Grocery Store for many years. She later worked at J.J. Harris as a paraprofessional before moving her talents to The Georgia Child Support Division where she became the PAC Coordinator. She also met the love of her life, Anthony whom she married in 2005.

She held herself in high esteem and was highly regarded and respected by many. Always had a smile that would light up a room with her sense of humor. She enjoyed reading on her kindle, playing cards, being a comedian, but her most favorite thing to do was to sleep. Her pride and joy were taking up time with her only nephew and niece, and her Great Uncle Curtis, whom she faithfully cared for. Last but not least, she loved the Lord Jesus Christ. She was a die heart fan of the Georgia Bulldogs, where she never missed watching with her husband and sister. She attended Church of Christ, where she participated in many activities including Bible Study.

She leaves to cherish her sweet memories, her loving and devoted husband, whom was always by her side Mr. Anthony Faust; parents, Troy and Debra Glaze; mother-in law, Claudia Lawrence; stepdaughters, Terrica and Ashley Faust; step-grandchildren, Amya Bell, Isiah Shaffin, Tyler Whitehead and Larry Chapman Jr; Sister, Zantae Glaze; Sister-in-law, Sherice Hargrove; Brother-in-Law, Tampton (Candice) Morris, Ronnell Warren and Donnell Warren; Nephew, Jamaris Hester; Niece, Zaniyah Hester and Shamone Hargrove; Grandmothers, Laura Fortson, Annie (David) Edmond, Annie Ruth Brawner and Magnolia Faust; God-Mother, Sharon (Marvin) Newton; God-Sister Deshundria Fortson; a special uncle, Curtis Brawner and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 12:00 - 5:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 2:00pm, located at Mack's Funeral Home - Elberton Chapel. 

Interment Service will follow the funeral service at Lincoln Heights Cemetery.
